Many mainframe sites are still using 8 character long passwords, some even still using single case passwords. H-Trust OTP services for SAF helps customers move their users to a more secure phrase based authentication by providing a self-service portal that allows users to manage their own password or phrase without requiring any helpdesk assistance or other support.
OTP Services for SAF include web pages:
- Registration of a second form of authentication for a user (e-mail)
- Requesting a One-Time-Password (OTP: PassTicket) that can be used to resume a revoked userid or change a forgotten/lost password or a phrase
- Change a password or a phrase
- Change a user profile from using a password to using a phrase
The self-service portal is a JSP based web application that can be customized to suit the customer’s requirements. Other implementations can be provided on request.
H-Trust OTP Services for SAF require as a minimum the H-Trust Daemon on z/OS v3.1.2
